Steintór Rasmussen, born in Klaksvík 1960, has since an early age been active in the creative process in the Faroese music scene, as a singer/songwriter, composer, producer, author and currently as one of the main organizers of the largest outdoor music festival in the Faroes, Summarfestivalurin.
He was one of the founders of the band, Frændur, founded in the early 80’s. Frændur has released a number of albums over the years which have been extremely well received by the Faroese public and the band is always a great attraction at big festivals and concerts in The Faroes, where the audiences sing along to nearly all of the songs.
Steintór has also released solo albums and children’s albums over the years.
