Ólavur Jøkladal, born september 20th, 1952 in Klaksvík, is a Faroese choir director, composer, musicologist.  In 1985 he co-founded Tórshavnar Kamarkór, which he directed for 10 years.

He has been very active in the Faroese music scene, especially with choir music.  Ólavur has composed 4 works and has directed many choirs.  In 1987 Havnarkórið & Tórshavnar Kamarkór released “Blátt” and in 1996 Tórshavnar Kamarkór released “Várlongsil”. Jøkladal directed these choirs and composed 2 of the works on “Várlongsil”.
