As an artist Dávur Birgisson has his roots in classical music, and in 2022 he graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Music with an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Music.
Since then he has premiered 5 new pieces for guitar by the composers, Pauli Hansen, Sámal Jákup Jakobsen, Sunleif Rasmussen, and Jákup Veyhe.
In addition to working as a guitar teacher, Dávur has published his own book for teaching and learning to play guitar, as well as released the EP “Dimensions” with Ophelia Sangill.
In his works Dávur combines the rich traditions of the classical guitar with alternative pop-music, and thereby he succeeds in merging classical and rhythmic music in a new context.
